KOH SAMED-(samed island)

Hello folks.Happy 2015 to start off.
200 kms from Bangkok,Thailand lies a not so much explored island-SAMED.Not Pattaya dudes-SAMED.ok.
I was so lucky to go there during New years eve, somehow ended up going there without any plans..ok.lets get to the point rather than knowing how my fate and time  turned and made me landed up there..
Lets focus on KOH SAMED…
so people, if you want to have a budget travelling dont stay at the Island instead stay near to Ban Phe pier.
I lived in this ban phe hostel-cheap and awesome and also friendly owner(yayaya i m her LINE app friend now)After all the bus travelling i did from north to central,i dozed off and explored d local area of ban phe.

Next day morning,i took a boat to the island and this boat had almost everything from people, vegetables, cats everything… and this 40 mins of ride was so cool.As usual i ended up talking to people in Thinglish(mixture of Thai and English) and ended up knowing that this island was a pirate island.
Indeed, i wished to find a  thai Jack sparrow..bwahahhaha.

As there are 14 beaches in Koh samed,i thought of visiting all but i managed to walk around and saw 10 in 6 hours and i was so amazed to see non touristy and calm beaches as it was not expected..check these pics

what else do you need in this lifetime???
Dont forget to comment, and yes till than peace out.✌
Ciao folks.

Japanese Food-Oishii des ne(delicious it is)

Hello folks,
The land of rising sun of Asia-Japan. i visited Nippon some months back and it was a fantastic experience all together.
This time its about FOOD. Japanese food is indeed a secret of healthy life of Japanese people, and its more than Sushi..

image

1.Cold soba noodles-Inexpensive,healthy and historic kinda noodles. It is made by buckwheat flour. Bucketwheat, ahaaan. I have no clue what is that, its grown only at Hokkaido area, and were grown to help fight a famine in the Nara period(710 to 794). You must try at Nara,Japan.

image

2.Green tea-Matcha ice cream with jellies, cherries and sugar syrup..yummm..speciality of kyoto.
oh yes and kyoto has every possible thing made by green tea, from chocolates, cookies, ice cream,tea,shakes,milk.etc.,
Go to kyoto folks and try all this.

image

3.wasabi-Japanese food without wasabi is like Indian food without spices, i somehow consumed more and  the kind of burning sensation passing through your tongue to the nasal passage was so quick that it immediately made me numb. phewww.

image

4.Beer,wine,whisky(Japanese whisky-sake)-Name it and you can buy anything. Japan and alcohol goes long way back. The best i had was okinawa sake.

image

image

5.Tempura and Takoyaki-Tempura is like the fried delicacy-they fry every possible thing. yummmmm.
Takoyaki-fried snack filled with minced octopus. I guess, these would be the most unhealthy food in Japan, in terms of calorie intake.

image

6.Japanese coffee is equally good as their green tea. One must definately try eating pastry/cake with coffee with Mt.Fuji view at Hakone.

image

At the end, definately eat sushi and different kinds of Kit Kat chocolates.
Its a ritual for people who visits Japan.
P.s-Knowledge of using chopsticks is an advantage,or you can try just like me,but it may take like 20 minutes to eat 5 pieces of tempura.
Do search about Japanese food etiquettes..
Thank you to my Japanese Friends who helped me in this food Journey.
Try all this lip smacking Japanese cusine people and you will definately thank me 🙂
See you soon.
Happy eating..ciao
Sayonara

This piece of heaven is known as PHU CHI FAH, a mountain in Thailand located at the eastern part of Thoeng District, Chiang Rai Province.i visited this place  on a motorbike with my friend, somehow to  see the sunrise. The ride was 2 hours of driving from my place-Chiangkham.Those 2 hours were accompanied with numbness, cold winds, and the words-Its COoooold. It was worth travelling to see this .

The view of how nature unfolds its way was awe strucking. The movement of fog and clouds making its way to welcome a new day with the help of giant star-SUN..My eyes connected this view so well, somehow it made me feel truly  blessed. This mountain divides Thailand and Laos across those valleys of mekong river.

Try to watch both  the sunrise and the sunset. This is the sunrise view.

The highlighting thing of this trip was, those Tribal kids all dressed up for displaying their talents of singing and dancing at 6.30am,their innocence at this picture made me feel that i am so lucky to live all these moments.
So,guys better backpack and travel, december is the best time to visit according to me.
i am planning to visit this place again in december 2015.
Till than Happy travelling.

Toursim and the effect on the community.

The travel story goes like this…The Trip to Egypt-Misr in November 2011 was so Life changing experience..As i was going through the places to travel in Egypt-The trip would have been incomplete if one doesn’t travel to Aswan and doesn’t experience Nubian community. So,Nubians are ethnic group from northern Sudan and lives in southern Egypt.A walk around Nubian village with a visit to a local home is a very common thing on an itienary of whoever visits Aswan,Egypt. The first view itself was so striking enough.Friendly people, culturally upgraded, traditionally colourful.so here, especially Nubian women contributes more to the Nubian community as they are the people who brings in tourists to their homes, display their artwork, their cooking talents in their local cuisine, etc,.Nubian village and the Nubian women are the most important identities of Nubian cultural tourism in Egypt.Nubians just dont produce great folklore music, but beautiful clothes, ethnic handicrafts and distinctive spices.Nubian community is home to the beautiful world’s second largest Man-Made lake-Lake Nassar facing the awe strucked and magnificent Abu simbel. The interesting thing which i saw at Nubian village  were mud brick houses, sand floors, keeping alligators as pets, creative and daily life inspired paintings and artifacts at home..And as the village is right across the Nile so the eco community tourism is developing. As i went with 6 -8 friends of mine from various countries like China,Australia,Argentina,India and BrazilDSC01304 DSC01317 DSC01385 Luxor Aswan Abu Simbel 385 to just see and understand what is it all about ,that itself displays that somehow we definately contributed lot to the community which I am pretty sure and i also saw that it  is conserving  natural and cultural environment…so,lets not miss visiting  this fantastic gateway of Egypt and most importantly of Africa.

Thailand Education

so,its been long time that i have been blogging..let me continue with the series of cultural shock which definately makes impact on everything…everything means everything..so as the bit of focus here lies a bit on education so..let me start off now..

1)Thai culture-sanook sanook(enjoy, enjoy),sabai sabai(good good) has starting creating a messy situation in thai education system.yes i know nobody loves changes..but yes someone has to start to take the risk of changing things…

2)The style of adapting to the old way of teaching has to change.independence to the the students and teachers is required in the teaching process, mai pen rai(its ok,no problem) attitude has to change.yes changes cannot happen overnight, but changes should not take centuries too..yes(chai yan yan) everytime….no…we have the opportunity now so make the best use of it now..

3) cmon people lets produce natural speakers and not robots…how are you?? i am fine and u??…phewww. there are more adjectives in english.right..simple basic changes.fine can be changed to great, good, not good, okay, whatever…. i am not asking people to change in great way.understanding of a concept is much more important than google searched printouts…

so…as i was helping my students for a debate competiton, i have been seeing series of annoying, interesting, surprising things..and i realised that somehow education system invariably not just english education system, all in all….many things can help to improve..but english education system, lets see that.so i realised TOURISM,oh yeah it does help the community to develop and help people to communicate in whatever way they can.more tourists, more interaction.i feel its not a forced process..so not just economy wise-but a heart to heart interaction, development of personal skills.all this happens naturally…yes we cannot avoid GDP  and all,but right now,Thailand needs tourism in this way where a community is in a continuos process of learning…..OK GUYS SEE YOU SOON….

Thailand Education

Hello all,so 1st thing anyone will or must notice is how joyful or happy or sincere the thai kids are in any farangs class. They are in my class too,but the sheer rejection or attitude of learning anything new still prevails in huge way. They are not shy but its their attitude towards it which needs to be supported.i guess it can be solved by teachers encouragement not just the farangs but any teacher, peer support and parents help. The truth is the students are becoming very mechanical in understanding things -critical thinking and reasoning is far far away…lets try to work out this on our level friends..Khapun khaa. 🙂
